Some products have important specifications that are interesting for your customers. The product specifications are also used for setting up the filters and sorting rules. This way your shop will be easier to use and you customers will find the products with ease.

You can set the specifications for each product separately or you can set them for the whole page. If you set a list of specifications for a page, all the containing products will have these specifications.

Adding Specifications to a Product or to a Page

Click on Specifications in the left menu when you're editing a product or page.

Click on + Add Specification button and select a specification from the list or, if this is your first time and the list is empty, click on + Create a New Specification link.

Adding a New Specification

When you click on + Create a New Specification link, a pop up window appears.

Write the name and select a type for the specification. Some specifications can have units.

When a specification is selected, it appears as a draggable bar where you need to fill it's value. You can add as many specifications as you like.

Specification Types

  • Number: a whole number which can contain units (e.g. 5 pieces)

  • Discrete Number: an integer which can contain units (e.g. 12,6 mm)

  • Yes/No: simple choice

Grouping and Ordering the Specifications

You can group the specifications by clicking + Add Group button and then drag & drop individial specifications in the container.

Copying the Specifications to or from a Page

If you have set the specifications for a page you can copy that set to a product, so you don't need to create a list for each product separately. When you are editing the product specifications click the Copy from Page dropdown and select a page from which you'd like to copy the specifications list from.

On the other hand, if you have set the specifications for a product, you can copy that set to a page to be reused on other products. You do that by clicking the Copy to Page dropdown and select a page you'd like to copy the specifications list to.

List of All Specifications
